I’m going to be honest: I’ve had a shitter of a week.
A couple of big waves have hit at the same time and this boat is rocked. But navigating choppy waters (I’m dropping anchor on this metaphor here don’t worry) has truly highlighted the importance of my friendships.
I’m full of gratitude for having a network of supportive and loving babes in my life.
So I’m just here to say a quick, zingy cheers to friends.
Cheers to:
The friends who check in.
The friends who just get it.
The friends who listen whilst you talk about your problems for 45 minutes straight.
The friends who still listen when you do it again the next day.
The friends who would drop everything to be with you.
The friends who can make you laugh no matter how awful you feel.
The friends who give it to you straight.
The friends who send the perfect TikTok videos to sum up the moment.
The friends who have grown with you and been there through it all.
The friends who come in fluffy cat shaped packages.
The friends who don’t expect you to be anything other than yourself.
The friends who know you as well as you know you.
The friends who are your biggest cheerleaders.
The friends who remind you how gorgeous life is.
#grateful

I am sorry to hear you’ve had a shitter of a week. It is so important you fill your thoughts with positive thoughts, and there couldn’t be a better way to do say than sharing your gratitude for things. Thanks for the reminder, and I hope you feel better soon.
A crappy week always sucks but friends are just what we need to help pull us out of a dump. Good to know you have great friends and a positive attitude!
yes, Im gratfeul for my friends who always check me in and they know when to help. Real friends are rare so lets treasure them.
I really love your positive attitude. You will not going to have great day every day but it’s good to have friends you can rely on
I just read your post and it brought a huge smile to my face. Your writing style is so warm and engaging, and I felt like I was right there with you celebrating friendship. Your words were truly inspiring, and I can’t wait to share them with my own friends. Keep up the fantastic work!
So sweet of you to take the time to express your gratitude for your friends. I miss my old friends and the good ones are hard to find.
A good friend is a treasure. However, to be honest, I don’t really have friends that I could meet up with. Since I quit my corporate job and decided to do online freelance work, I haven’t been out that much. I can only reach out to a few friends through chat and the rare phone calls. My so called “friends” right now are two fish and two dogs. At least these friends of mine are not judgmental.
Yyyeeesssss! Cheers to them true friends, who don’t hide away from telling us the absolute truth no matter how hard it may be. Sorry about the horrible week.
Having a good friend is so important – for the good times and the tough times. I hope next week is much better for you!
I’m os sorry to hear you haven’t had teh best week. It does help to have friends that will support you and listen even for extended lengths of time. Those are the keepers!!
I love this. I have been struggling with friendships lately because I feel like my friends aren’t present or caring. It is so meaningful when you have a friend who cares, and all those little things they do to make you feel special.
Your post beautifully captures the essence of friendship and its significance in our lives. The personal anecdotes and heartfelt reflections make the piece relatable and inspiring. The emphasis on celebrating and cherishing friendships is a much-needed reminder in today’s fast-paced world. Overall, a delightful read that leaves you with warm and fuzzy feelings about the power of friendships.
The life would be boring without friends. And I’m grateful for them, especially those who always join me on my journey exploring the world.
Yes! We all need friends like that who care. I just had a check-in call with a friend!
