First things first, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lisa and I’m the face behind The Zing Collective.
How The Zing Collective began
For most of my adult life, I have struggled with less-than-perfect mental health and the concept of what it means to be happy. You can read more about my mental health journey here.
At the start of 2022 I threw a grenade into my life: I quit my job, broke up my relationship, moved out of my home, sold my car, gave away a lot of my belongings, and went solo travelling.
This experience was life-changing in so many ways, not least because it made me reassess what I valued most in my life and what really mattered. As I started to rebuild a life from the rubble of my old one, The Zing Collective was born.
Whilst consciously rebuilding a life, and choosing what bits to keep and what bits to leave behind, I spent a lot of time pondering what it really means to “live your best life”. I launched The Zing Collective as an avenue to explore the questions swirling around my mind.
What makes a great life?
What does it mean to be happy?
What does “living your best life” mean anyway?
More importantly, what is Zing?
Zing is the feeling of joy you get inside when you’re truly living your best life. It’s that feeling when your heart skips a beat; when your chest feels a little bit fizzy; when you want to do a wiggly dance because you’re just so damn delighted with life. That is zing. And that’s what we’re all about here.
